Games to play when you're long distance
Every game here is for two people on two screens. One of you starts a room and sends the link; the other taps it and is playing a few seconds later, from across town or across an ocean. Moves land live on both boards, and a game takes anywhere from thirty seconds to fifteen minutes. Short enough to fit inside a phone call.

The home page now lists the games you've played in the last two weeks and whose turn it is, and invite links open properly inside Instagram, WhatsApp and other in-app browsers.

- Games two people can play together from different places, each on their own screen. Here that means classic two-player games like Connect 4, Battleship and Checkers, a word race, and a How Well Do You Know Me quiz, all played live over a link.
- Are these games free?
- Yes. There are no ads, no accounts and nothing to buy.
- Can we play on our phones?
- Yes. Every game runs in the browser on iPhone, Android, tablets and laptops, in any mix. There is no app to download.
- Can we play while we're on a video call?
- Yes, and that's the best way. Keep FaceTime, WhatsApp or whatever you use running and open the game alongside it. Most phones shrink the call to a small window.
- What if I have nobody to play with right now?
- Every game except How Well Do You Know Me has a solo mode against the computer. Tap any game and press Play solo.
